Ultrasound Magic

The anesthesia for Kathy's surgery involved blocking the nerve to her foot.
An ultrasound device identified the nerve behind her knee allowing the anesthesiologist to expertly guide the needle to deliver the  anesthetic medication to surround the nerve. 
Kathy's surgery was accomplished successfully by the equally expert surgeon.
We are very grateful for our good fortune.
