The Owl

We had an afternoon off from house selling today, though we did visit the solicitor to remedy a bit of typoitis on an important document to be signed. Nothing important just the correct address of the house being sold.
We walked up the Prince’s Incline to the canal. We were delighted to discover this new carving, which was funded by Poynton Town Council, and only unveiled last week.
The artist’s name is embossed on a little metal plate- Mike Burgess - Chainsaw Artist. Thank you Mike. It is lovely.
Jacqui is generally not keen to be in a blip but she does make exceptions for birds. On the way home past Poynton Pool, in the fading light, a tawny owl was persistently calling. It is a good time of year to hear them. Perfect. Bird of the day.
