Sun setting on Cleeve Hill

Our tree pruning, scheduled for today, did not happen due to the tree surgeon having to deal with an emergency ahead of tonight’s imminent big storm.

We walked between the showers and a brilliant rainbow this afternoon on the wetlands and water meadows to the west of our house.

A large owl swooped low along the tree line. A great sight but slightly worryingly to see it hunting in the day. Perhaps its nocturnal food supply is in increasingly short supply?
