Last day

Today we got up early so we could fit in some last day sightseeing.

First though we stopped for breakfast at Cookie Beacon, I’d seen this place recommended on social media so had to try one of their delicious cookies for breakfast. It did not disappoint it was like cookie dough in the middle of it.

After we walked across the bridge to the Buda side of the city and caught the funicular to the top by Buda Castle. We decided to have a look in Matthias Church which is todays picture. It was very pretty, the church is right next to fisherman’s Bastion so we also paid to go up to the viewing point. After wondering around we then got the funicular back down and then made our way back to Pest, where we visited St Stephens Basilica again another impressive church.

We then headed for some lunch followed by a visit to the Christmas shop and then it was time to leave! Lovely weekend in a new country
