Ruby-Crowned Kinglet

This is a very tiny bird that I seldom see so I was excited to see a pair of them in our backyard. The ruby dot is small and it is visible when he turns a certain way. The white around his eye and the white line on his wings are what set him apart from other tiny birds. I love the extra photo too; I had a difficult choosing which photo to Blip.

It was really cold last night but it warmed up nicely by noon and I enjoyed some time in the garden and then took a lovely walk in the neighborhood. 

Today was Ellie's actual birthday so we talked on Facetime for about an hour. She was exploring her new toys and we "played with them together".  Her imagination and my excitement worked well together. 

Tonight I am relaxing with a puzzle and The Voice on TV.
