Perfumed Pansies

Vesey Gardens, in front of Holy Trinity, are planted out with masses of yellow - and a few white - pansies. I never knew pansies smelt, but as you walk through these gardens, the air is heavy with a honeyed scent - just wonderful.

Asked a bloke working at Holy Trinity, and he said these gardens belong to the Birmingham City Council. Well, whatever else they do, am grateful for this beauty.

Off to Newport Pagnell now, to cook a meal for my sister-in-law's birthday...
