Oh, Dear! What Can The Matter Be?

We had a bad start to the day! I had not expected the first proper blip of Gizmo to be like this, but here he is.

He'd been drinking constantly and has lost a little weight over the past couple of weeks and his behaviour since Sunday has been sluggish. So The Man and I thought he needed to see the vet.

Just as well. A blood test revealed a kidney problem which means he will be given tablets each day from now on to make his heart beat in a stronger way to supply his kidneys with more oxygen, helping them function better. He, and consequently the one and a half other cats, will also be having a new diet of specially made food which is more suitable for this condition.

So that's poor Gizzy's treatment and a visit back to the vet in six months, if.......
