Help!!

As you can see I went to visit the egrets today. We are updating our showroom and I had to go get another gallon of paint. While I was out I thought I could just sneak on over snap a few shots and no one would be the wiser. I pulled it off :) Got some neat shots today but I chose this one because it tells a story. I could hear the squawking as soon as I got out of the car. Louder than usual but I thought because the babies are getting bigger so their lungs must be getting bigger :) Well, soon enough I figured it out. 5 large turkey vultures were circling around the nesting area. There are usually a couple vultures floating around but today they there were more AND they were flying through the trees where the nests are sometimes landing on branches. I hadn't seen them do that before. All of the sudden one dove right into a nest. Quite the clatter arose from that!! Several adult egrets flew out and tried to convince the vultures to go. I think it worked, for the time being. I don't think a little one was hurt. It was hard to tell. I yelled out "NO!!" but a lot of good that did. When I left the vultures weren't there but I'm sure they lurked nearby. I was surprised to see this as I thought vultures preyed on dead things. I didn't think they 'killed' for a meal. I will have to research that.

The showroom is coming along. Picked a nice cocoa brown for the area where the cabinets are. It turned out nice. Picked a nice light blue that when it was painted on the wall turned into a pretty periwinkle baby nursery color. Uh, nope. That won't work. Went today and got a neat brick red. It looks awesome!! The red wall is where the white toilets and matching pedestal lavs will be. I think it will look good. Thinking a pretty robin's egg blue for the upstairs showroom. That will have to wait for a bit. I think the guys are getting a bit overwhelmed with all the changes!

Gearing up for the duo road trip starting tomorrow. I am trying to think positive about it and making it in my head a 'photo' opportunity!! THAT makes me feel happier :) :) :)
