Cake

Lucy and I headed over to look after O.  Nat was working from home so we all headed over to Bex’s.  We then had a 10 minute drive to have a woodland walk that took us into open parkland with a play park at the bottom of a hill. Although the park was not particularly age appropriate for O.

We then headed up the road to a popular bakery in Old Basing.  We had a toasted sandwich and a delicious cake.  This was mine, a polenta and pear cake.  In the middle was a slice of pear that had been poached in red wine, not overpowering and It was yummy!

Back to Bex’s for a while before heading back to Os.  Nat was at a midwife appointment so we had a play until she got back and then Lucy and I headed home in the chocoblock rush hour.
