Morning walk to Poldhu Cove beach.
It poured during the night spattering raindrops on the windows in the bedroom. Being a dormer bungalow we have two velux type ones in our room. One facing east the other west.
Just before it was daylight as I went to the bathroom, I could see the myriads of stars as I looked up through the window. There is no light pollution just here.
It’s an awesome sight seeing Orion on one side of the bungalow and then the Plough and Cassiopeia on the other, with the myriads of stars between.
An earlier breakfast today to take advantage of the forecast which predicted cloudy but dry conditions.
We set off then to do the walk to Poldhu Cove.
Lots of ascents and descents, via Polurrian Cove beach. I’ll attach a couple of links to the YouTube videos I made.
A hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows was consumed on arrival at the Beach café.
Lots of surfers and bodyboarders out taking advantage of the waves. Good fun to sit and watch.
There were lots of families, being halfterm, kids with wellies splashing about in the stream which runs down the beach to the sea, or digging in the sand, all having great fun.
We went back for lunch at the usual Craft centre before walking round the cliff path above Mullion Cove back to our retreat.
Last day tomorrow.
Time for tea and later the Final of the Race Across the World to watch on TV.
What a gripping series it has been this time.
