Mansefield Memories

Linn's Mill Viaduct.

The Union Canal flows from the centre of Edinburgh through to the Flakirk Wheel boat lift where it joins the Forth and Clyde canal. There are no other locks on this canal as it follows the contours of the land. This viaduct carries the canal over the river Almond near Newbridge. Many folk take great pleasure from its couse. Whilst walking the dog I met a fisherman, two canoeists, four cyclists and a house barge with two couples aboards with a little dog. All this in a short distance. Better large !
