Walking with friends

A beautiful blue-sky autumnal day. We met old friends for a 4 mile walk this morning.
No need for an alarm clock as a USAF B1 took off from Fairford heading east. Later in the afternoon another B1 cruised over our house heading home to Fairford. These military sentinels criss cross our skies with the same menace that a great white shark brings to its submarine world.

Boys home from school for more uplifting observations on the world as only an 11 year old and 9 year old can muster. Our gas fire has its first annual service too.
