Why do we collect things? Freud would have said we were seeking to create order from chaos... nowadays everything is a disorder and hoarding is no different. And in truth I do struggle to dispose of stuff, and rather stick it in the garage or the loft... 

Anyhow, I have this pot of random currency. Coins from past holidays, coins passed off by unscrupulous traders, coins even from when in my youth I worked in the amusement arcade trade.

The two shilling pieces here are similar, ignoring the years in which they were ostensibly struck but, as you can see, the colours belie the integrity of one of them... There were rumours, back in the last century, of Saturday morning overtime at engineering works in Bristol... coins punched out of aircraft metal.

Maybe it's worth more than 10p...
