The pleasures of yesteryear.
Several decades ago, long before the digital age, I found interest and pleasure in collecting the postage stamps of Switzerland and the Austro Hungarian Empire. There was satisfaction in aiming for completeness which was never achieved, and in “ writing up “
the collections.
The hobby was also educational. Many children learned about the far flung countries of the world by buying a packet of 100 used stamps.
Of course I gave up adding to the collection some decades ago. But among the plasures ofold age is that of nostalgia.
The collections are not worth much but from time to time I spend an hour looking through the albums.
Here is a page of stamps from Bosnia - Herzegovina. A set of views issued in 1906 including pictures of Mostar and Sarajevo.
