First sight of snow

Storm Babet is causing havoc in south eastern Scotland. We are just north of the red warning area in Aberdeen and Angus and although it was raining heavily, we hoped we would get through to Ullapool without trouble. But about 35 miles from Ullapool we encountered the dreaded “Road closed” sign. So we had to drive another 100 miles via Gairloch through unremitting rain and roads frequently flooded with muddy water. It was too wet for many photos but we did see our first snow. We were very thankful to reach our friends’ house at Ardmair north of Ullapool before dark.
