The Bowling meal

Storm Babet has arrived, it has poured all night and day and there are rivers of water pouring along lots of the local roads.

Today has been the end of season meal for the bowling club and the presentation of the shield for the knockout competition (no, I was not a winner).

It was at a pub a few miles out of Oswestry and there were lots of flooded roads so it was a slow and careful trip.

The meal was great and it was lovely to get together with everyone. This is a photo of the group, there are a few ex members and other halves too. I was taking a photo of everyone when the landlady came and offered to take one with me on too.  I'm balanced on a tiny space between two chairs!

We're looking forward to the next bowling season that starts in April.

I dropped  F at his house (it was flooded putside but not inside thankfully.  It took ages for me to drive home as the main road was  closed due to a flood so the traffic was all backed up.

It's still raining now but hopefully will improve tomorrow.
