Car Trip Day 2

It rained almost all day but we did have a little walk to the beach at Tigh Na Mara ….a very high tide…and the sun shown for about 90 seconds.   After a great coffee, we headed to the reason we planned this trip.   The golf cart dealer for Vancouver island!!  Pouring rain .   They sell used and refurbished carts but they go fast.   We had decided that was the one big help we could use to eke out another summer at the island.   So….success!   Will be awhile before it can be delivered to Saltspring is. and then barged to our Parker island.    But we are happy..
Then we drove south to Victoria…. Stopped at a charming little town Chemainus right on the water that  is known for its murals , for lunch before continuing to Victoria and our friend Cathy’s darling condo which she has decorated so artistically.   The rain stopped right before Victoria and it was beautiful for a walk nearby ( there was someone swimming in the gorge waterway and lots of rowing boats from across the way from her place.  and then walk out to a restaurant .    Whew!    More from Victoria tomorrow.
