Back on the stand

So behind on doing the blip as I was back in Cannes at the MIPCOM TV Market

Ridiculously early up to catch an 8.55am to Nice with Noemi.  We arrived at our hotel in Mougins by lunchtime.  We used to stay there when we started so thought we’d recapture a very lovely time.  It was warm and sunny when we got there we were looking forwad to something tasty for lunch.   But it wasn’t the hotel we used to stay in, , it was fine but not as lovely, didn’t have a restaurant, and the ones nearby were all shut.  So we went to the local bakery, ate an OK quiche and were rewarded by the most spectacular ice creams.  

We swam in the hotel pool which was pretty chilly.  

In the evening we went down to the Fremantle stand which is stlll on the beach  There were cocktails and drinks, lots of familiar faces and a warm and lovely atmosphere.  

I haven’t been to Cannes since pre-Covid, Noemi was there last year but we were in LA.  It was actually quite nice to be back….
