Hawker

It seems late in the year to encounter a dragonfly, but they can be seen throughout the autumn, at least on sunny days. 

This Southern Hawker was patrolling the meadow behind Tong Park cricket pitch, but eventually perched high in an oak tree and remained still long enough for me to track it down with my lens.
