A humble 7-spot Ladybird provides my insect of the day - no butterflies or dragonflies in evidence on my walk.

A good day for birds though: Red Kite, Buzzard and Kestrel were all overhead and I had fleeting glimpses of the first returning Redwings. 

Later, I was back at Nethermoor Park for FA Youth Cup action, with Guiseley U18 hosting Hartlepool United in the Third Qualifying Round. Hartlepool took the lead after five minutes, but Guiseley levelled the game before half-time. Guiseley controlled the second half, and a second goal was enough to see them through to the next round. A strong performance against a higher ranked academy.
