Flamingo Food?

Well, it is the right colour for flamingo food but this is the first strawberry of June 2013 resting on a bed of freshly picked rose petals. Right after this blip they went into the pot with sugar to make Rose Petal - Strawberry jam.
We have company arriving tomorrow afternoon (old friends) so I am making some of their favourites. Rose petal jam is one.
No flamingoes have been invited.
I did drive by the Flamingo Hotel this afternoon only to see that a cluster of the front lawn birds huddled up against the big pine tree as the lady of the establishment pushed the lawn mower.
There were a few others headed for the back fence to get tout of the way. I'll look in on them from time to time in case anything else exciting happens.
In the meanwhile its warm scones and fresh jam all around!
