Spalting

Like battle lines between fungi when wood begins to rot.
Beech is probably the most common wood in the UK for spalting.
This is on a (so far lidless) lidless box.

A local company was contacted this morning and they will be coming on Thursday morning to see about the central heating pump and service the boiler.
