Coming along…

Lance, who is putting the fence up for us did another stint today with his friend Paul and they are making great progress.  I thought this picture of Men at Work had a quality of something for the ages.  

Cold, clear and sunny. I walked down to the shop alongside the pumpkins to get the newspapers.   They have started picking them up and selling placing them in the pumpkin patch  so there are clear areas now but the field still glowed. 

We went and visited the Lamb and Newt cafe in South Harting for lunch. Lovely new addition to the neighbourhood.  The people used to do huge barn sales three times a year, beautifully styled.   They’ve now opened a cafe n an antique shop. It’s very pretty, everything is usable retro rather than smart antiques.  The food Italian.   we ate small plates and I took home a Wedgwood mug designed by Keith Murray and a couple of cushions with Colefax and Fowler fabric to replace those on the purple chair that have been shredded.  

Did some gardening, potting up some bulbs and tidying up a bit.
