Crantock Beach

Another day, another beach, more surfers.

Having missed Park Run yesterday, the three of us went for a run round a 2.5 mile loop of the country lanes near the site before breakfast.

Later we headed for a walk on Crantock beach, where we discovered there was a meeting of schnauzer dog owners who were all heading back along the beach to the car park. Never seen so many schnauzers in one place.

Once they had gone it was pretty deserted as you can see. The extra gives you some idea of the vastness of the beach and how far we walked to where the main blip was taken. It was taken next to the Cargo Cafe, a huge old converted army truck which dispenses excellent mocha and cake.

We got back to the lodge early afternoon, just as Kate, Joel and Sophie arrived and we all spent an hour or so in the swimming pool before going back to the lodge to watch the second half of the England v Fiji Rugby World Cup quarter final.
