The Wren

Nature's rich palette

Last year - in my ignorance - I had planted Alium bulbs individually all over the garden and only when they bloomed did i realise that they would have far more impact if grown in a group. I marked them carefully and moved them in the autumn and then had a mini panic that I had "weeded" them out during a rather energetic weeding session early in the year. I was therefore mightily relieved to see them emerging and putting on such a great show against the backdrop of the grey arctic willow. I thought I had better blip them before their neighbours, the blowsy poppy, compete for attention. I confess i had thought I had removed the poppies - but obviously not so.
