Sanderlings #65
After the early morning rain we went over to Boulmer Beach to photograph the Sanderlings again as I wasn't very happy with the ones I took earlier in the week. The tide was out quite a way but we easily found a small flock of them along the shoreline. We just stood still as the tide came in and they just kept inching towards us as the water kept wetting their legs!
I just kept shooting so have rather a lot of shots to go through, but here's my little group as they lazily stood around waiting to be washed inland.
That was until the rain came again, which was very annoying as it wasn't forecast that late in the day. With no rain clothes, we headed back to the car and back to Bamburgh for lunch and then a final visit to Stag Rocks. The sun came out and we had another lovely walk and just sat on a bench watching the waves until we got cold.
See extra for a shot of the waves that I quite liked and a running sanderling in mono.
