Star of the Week!

Well, that's a surprise..
but a welcome one. Look who's
school star of the week!

So you might have expected Ben to sleep last night after the previous early start but guess who's diabetes kit started wailing to alert about a hypo (2.2!) at 3am.  Sigh.  Sleep is for wimps.  Ben did eventually settle back to sleep after some juice, a wee and half an hour of fetching me to tuck him back in :-/ 
He has definitely had a better week at school though, he's been getting in and out of the car with much less fuss.  It's still tricky but 'manageable tricky' not 'mega crisis tricky'.  So it was a nice end to the week to have a photo from school saying that he'd been given Star of the Week in his class and that he was so pleased with himself.  Bless him.
In other news I'm arguing with Fed Ex about an invoice they sent Mr KCNQ2Haiku. It was allegedly for a parcel that was sent from a company in Spain to a company in Edinburgh but with no mention of us.  We first received the bill in June and thought it was a scam but they kept coming and now I've been emailing and phoning them regularly to no avail.  I keep telling them it's nothing to do with us and they keep agreeing and then sending me follow up emails asking me for repeat information and at the same time still sending the final reminders to us in the post.  I spent some more time on hold today and pressing the 'press 1 for..' buttons and got through to a woman who claimed to understand and escalate the case with management.  I'm not holding my breath but I am super frustrated.  
Mr KCNQ2Haiku and I went for lunch afterwards to calm me down! That in turn was a bit frustrating as they brought something I hadn't ordered, they were very apologetic and went away to rectify it but Mr KCNQ2Haiku's meal has already arrived so he ended up sitting and looking at it for 15 mins whilst we waited.  Oh well, at least the company was good :-D And it was very tasty when it arrived.
Fetched Ben from school and he got in the car brilliantly, he was so happy to show me his certificate :-)  Long may the better journeys continue!
