Baler Boab rides again......

A quick run round to feed everything this morning. I've started the cows on their high Magnesium rolls as there is now a chill in the air and a chance of them developing staggers,or mg deficiency.
Then a trip to the Western General Hospital for a check up appointment. Back home by noon so left the combine team to make a start on the 14acres of barley down the road while wee brother started on the 11acres at home with our old combine. I went to bale more of yesterday's straw.
No sooner had we started than it began to rain.
Headed down the road to feed the heifers,and it was still dry enough there that the combine was still cutting,so back home and jumped into the baler tractor and headed down to bale up behind the combine. Maybe not 100%dry,but it could get a lot wetter if I left it.
Home by 7pm,just in time for Mrs F to tell me the Aga had gone out. No doubt today's kero delivery has stirred up all the silt in the bottom of the tank and choked the filter as usual. Ho hum......
