Back on the bales....

A showery morning. Once I'd fed all the cows ,spent a good while buggering about with the Aga which had gone out yesterday. Dismantled the burner and managed to get all the carbon off the fuel reservoir. Replaced the wicks , syphoned all the dirty kero out the bottom of the float chamber,cleaned the filter and eventually got it to light and burn correctly.
By 2pm the wind had got up enough to make the straw ready to bale ,just about.
So hitched up the wee square baler and bale sledge and baled the dozen swaths I left yesterday. Then back home ,swapped the baler for a trailer and loaded the bales up . Roughly 300, could do with another couple of hundred,but will need to see what the other field is like once wee brother finishes cutting it. By tonight he had only a couple of acres left,but the dampness was down so he had to stop. Fingers crossed it is dry tomorrow.
