Two restaurant day

Another warm day.  I couldn’t park at the station car park as they are gearing up for closing the line in a few weeks and all the parking places were taken.  I had to take the car into town and leg it back up to catch the train.

We took Jess R, a writer to lunch at the new place at 64 Goodge St, owned by the people who do Quality Chop House,  a family favourite.  It did not disappoint. Jess’s husband is a chef so we had to make it a good lunch.  The photo is the centrepiece above the table, very beautiful and complex,  it makes a spectacular sight.

In the evening I had dinner at the Ivy Club  with Ben and G, and Manda and HIlary.  All (except Ben’s husband G) old friends from BBC days so we laughed and gossiped and put the world to rights

I had, suddenly, to stay up to see someone early tomorrow and booked into the Westminster hub as I just didn’t have the energy for late travel back and early in.   As I hadn’t planned for it,  and initially couldn’t find anywhere,  I did a dash round the shops to get essentials but as I am not going into the office tomorrow I don’t feel I need to change my outfit.  I never wear the same thing two days running so it will be quite a challenge.
