Tunnel

Super fun day discussing process. To give a sense of the day, I sent a message that began, “while I think this process is farcical, I do think that if we are going to withdraw we need to prove that the Fast Track process works for everybody”. There was lots of discussion. At one point we were following the old process, then the new, then a bit of the old. All within two hours. Everyone agreed this isn’t the way to work. The best bit is, by the end of the day, we had more consensus than we’ve had for a while. Sometimes, extreme positions are with it. And progress, however small, is great.

In the evening a quick sprint to town to meet Daniel and Jeremy. I arrived early and could not work out where they were until they messaged that they were in the Adam and Eve.

Beers, across several pubs, lead to Bone Daddies. Hiccups after food spoiled the evening. Pork Chilli Broth is recommended. I sat on the platform waiting for the train, hiccuping and trying to avoid other people by looking down the tunnel. Tube stations at night are fascinating: thankfully, too early for drunks, but maybe a few people like me who should have left before the hiccups started.
