Not Bake-off

I don’t know what triggered my wish to bake biscuits this morning. I was having a church meeting at home in the afternoon and I may have been inspired by my brother making baguettes the other day. Or it may have been a desire to taste again the 2 types of biscuits our mother used to rustle up: ginger biscuits and “oaties”. Or it may have been biscuit week on Bake-off last week.

Whatever the driving force was, I set to and had these produced by 09:30. Not up to competition standard: the ginger ones were not crisp enough. But still very tasty.
