Westerly - Force 5

A  rather damp, draughty and dismal day.  All vessels eventually headed home.

The Orcadian Cultural Attaché to Shetland phoned early and gave me a run down about events over the long weekend.  He, along with his secretarial staff, have retreated early because of today, and tomorrow’s forecast.

Later I went to visit my mother who wasn’t overly perky.

Nobody needs to know this but in the Dounby Co-op two men (seventies, both had boiler suits on and rubber boots) fairly held up the queue blethering about the fuse boxes in Massey Ferguson tractors.  I didn’t take notes.
