On the Beach with Mr Crow

We are being spoilt with the temperatures this October -  the wind was actually warm as we braved the waves this morning. Mr Crow had the beach to himself, no competition from any sea birds as he appeared unduly interested in something in the sand.

At lunch time it was almost hot to be in the sun on the patio but I had to leave to go for my annual eye test. One might imagine that by this time, with the number of eye tests I’ve had, I would remember the eye drop routine and take dark glasses with me but, no, I had to stumble home with everything out of focus and half blinded by sunlight. It made me feel very vulnerable to tripping over an uneven paving stone, and there was definitely no scooting across roads in the traffic. My glasses will be ready in a fortnight but the dent in my wallet was made today.
