Round Britain Run Day 3

Picking up where we left off yesterday. We drove through Wales, eventually arriving at Monmouth services midway through the night. We then had to switch from the Severn Bridge to the Prince of Wales bridge over the Severn due to road closes around Bristol on the M5 but were soon back on track. On this event this is always where exhaustion starts to kick in and the frequency of driver swaps increases to keep us moving safely. Off the M5 at Exeter it was on towards Land’s End which we made for a good breakfast. By then the day was shaping up nicely, the sun out, it was such a contrast to Saturday. We then crisscrossed the South of England checking in various control stops and winding our way gradually back to the ultimate finish at Knebworth House where we began on Friday evening. We arrived around 8.20pm and were “signed in” the event was complete, Hurrah.
