Road block

Thankfully the rain has stopped and it is an almost balmy 16 C today. We decided a leisurely flat walk round Gadden and Birnie Lochs would be good but we soon met the Gadden swan family waddling towards us. How the cygnets have grown since I last saw them although this is a walk that Mrs AMK often does with her friends .The water level in the lochs is high causing it to overflow and the little stream that normally feeds in was in spate.

We were “ rescued “ by a couple who arrived with their daily swan food which explained why the female swan was leading her troupe out and along the path - it was then just a matter of paddling through the water. 
Altogether a lovely walk .
