PAP SAT

Today was our first event day! We spent the morning preparing and arrived at the centre just before 2pm, when the first women were schedualled in. Of course things ran to bolivian time, as we arrived an hour and a half before the doctor. Unfortunately quite a few mothers turned up very promptly, so we had to try and keep them entertained while saying 'auritta, auritta' which means soon, soon! The doctor soon turned up, along with bed and screen and equiptment, and set uo camop in the room the babies normally use.

We tried to introduce the children to bobbing apples and pass the parcel, which was very sucessful! Unfortunately not all of the mothers brought their children along, so we didn't get to play as many games as we had hoped! The afternoon went smoothly, we didn't need to do very much once we showed the mothers where to wait, so we offered them drinks and cake and played endlessly with the few children who did turn up!

All of the mothers arrived and were tested, which was a great success!
