Beauty Berries
I decided to make our guests a hot breakfast including sausage and scrambled eggs since it is Sunday. They originally planned to spend the day with my sister and BIL. Instead they are going to a local state park with loads of history. Hubby and I have been totally lazy. I searched for a blip and hope you like my choice. I cleaned the kitchen, mopped the floors, watered my inside plants, deleted more than 500 photos and packed for our trip. Hubby worked on our printers that are giving us a fit-not printing in black and white mode even with a brand new black ink cartridge. We watched a bit about the war in Israel but it is too troubling to listen to. On the positive side, Brooklyn’s team won their soccer tournament championship. She is a happy girl. Sure wish we could have been there. I had the homecoming dates mixed up. We should be back in time to see the boys in their finest attire. My neighbor’s monarch caterpillars should be heading to their pupae stage soon. Hope some adults visit my asters. The weekend is winding down. Hope yours was pleasant and safe. Thanks for visiting.
“The morns are meeker than they were,
The nuts are getting brown;
The berry's cheek is plumper,
The rose is out of town.
The maple wears a gayer scarf,
The field a scarlet gown.
Lest I should be old-fashioned,
I'll put a trinket on.” - Emily Dickinson
