Chilli pearls roquito
The forecasted sun didn't manage to burn off the clouds this morning and there was quite a chill wind. Determined to swim at high tide though at 1.30. High tide was quite low and FK fully explained the process over dinner later. He's just covered this very thing in Geography. Very knowledgeable!
Lovely tingling swim out to the buoy and back and a very quick change into warm clothes and wooly hat. The coastguards congratulated me on how quickly I managed it all when I went to quietly tell them they might want to turn the loudspeaker off while they were just chatting, not really intending the rest of the beach to hear!! We had a giggle!
Went to see Mum for a cuppa and see if she needed any jobs doing. MrK said he'll pop over tomorrow to weedkill the paths, though the gardener is doing a great job weeding the beds.
Back in my own garden I cleared, cut down and weeded a whole brown bins worth! So satisfying.
Fk nonchalantly told us BTW he'd had his science papers remark back and had gone up to 9:8!!!! Over the moon for him and he glows inside! So MrK decided we would go for dinner at the Aviator opposite. They had a new menu with FK's favourite Katsu Chicken Curry. I had a pork ragu linguine with chilli pearls (pic in extra). They were slightly warm in flavour, but not blow your socks off, hot. And a lovely burst in your mouth. Easy to grow too, so I might give that a go.
