New Forest Grey
These ponies, wild and roaming the New Forest, seem completely uninterested in humans, but I manage a brief glance from this grey this morning.
And in the Extra, the Needles. I last saw them from a Tornado in around 1988. My navigator and I had spent a week flying several sorties behind Marham Tornados during their Maxeval, a station exercise for practising the war effort. We were evaluating their performance. At the end of this job we returned to our base, Laarbruch in Germany; but during that sortie my nav planned a low level (250 to 500ft) tour of the south of England, including the Needles. Then we climbed to height and returned home.
