Sumburgh Farm Outbuildings

Rain this morning, followed by a sunny lunchtime, cloudy in the afternoon and evening.  Gales blowing all day, calm tonight, cold too.

Up at 5am, a 12hr early shift in the airport.  On arrival, we had no Internet, so a manual check-in for 120 passengers on the first two flights.  Kirkwall was delayed by an hour, and then this evening's Edinburgh got cancelled.  Every flight is full with the October holidays starting, not many options for next day travel but we got there.  13hrs later, over 14hrs since I left home, I got back.  Feet up for a bit, walkies with Sammy and then an early night.

After a hectic morning with no Internet, we were back online after the second flight.  Needles to say by lunchtime I was needing out and get some fresh air in me.  A fine brisk walk up to the old farm.  Some lovely old outbuildings around the farm, most are very unusual architecture and designs for Shetland, and hard to get a proper photo.  This old building caught my attention, would love a look inside and see how they used it, better still, see a photo of it being used.  Taken at Sumburgh Farm, Sumburgh.
