Not Coffee

At our U3A meeting on Thursday we were told of a café at Easter Bush, which we might enjoy now that The Hub has closed. Today we went in search of coffee...along this road, along that road, along this dead end, and back...and another - you get the idea - who knew there were so many roads in Easter Bush? 

Suffice to say we did not find it but, while stopped to consider our options, saw this red admiral. It is not one of the newly-hatched models that we have all seen recently but, judging by the tattered tail, has been round the block once or twice (indeed, much as we were doing ourselves at that very moment).

We can recommend coffee and cakes in The Storehouse in Penicuik, where our very late elevensies were served and very much enjoyed, as usual.
