Back blip

Our club Autumn break ......left early and had a breakfast snack at the Athol Arms in Blair Atholl, always a favourite stop, great rolls and sausage and lots of tea and coffee.

We walked at Carrbridge, along the river, and it was a dry though quite dull day.  We had a lovely walk, first of all photographing the old Packhorse Bridge over the river.  The bridge was built in 1717 to allow funeral processions to reach Duthill  Church by crossing the River Dulnain.. The parapets were washed away in the 19th century.. It is now a popular tourist attraction.

The autumn colours were really nice, and we saw a lot of carved sculptures, I have photographed some in my extra collage.

Walk over we headed on up to Strathpeffer, where we had booked for two nights, and had a nice meal.

Looking forward to tomorrow.
