A New Bug

Well, a new beetle actually.  This is a Locust Borer Beetle.  I went out to pick some late phlox and discovered this fellow checking out said phlox.  They do cause damage to the trees and weaken the branches making them more prone to wind damage so not a welcome visitor.  Another warm day and we have a Tropical Storm Phillippe to look forward to on Saturday but it will likely be over on early Sunday so I can drive up the coast to Damariscotta for the annual Pumpkin Regatta.  I'm really looking forward to seeing that.  Fingers crossed.  Gift#276: continued warm fall weather.
