No swimming today

Ann tries to go swimming in the sea most days, but today it didn't happen because she has gone into lazy mode! I went for my morning walk along Porthmeor Beach and around the town. The waves were pretty big and also the tide was going out, so she said, 'Trixie, I'm not going swimming there.' However, it was very calm on Porthminster Beach, but obviously the tide was going out there too there's no lifeguard cover on that beach any more so she didn't want to swim there by herself until the tide was almost in, so that if she got into difficulties at least someone on the beach would see her.

Long story short. She planned to go swimming at about 5pm, but after taking me for my afternoon walk along all the beaches (which took about an hour and a half), she didn't have any energy left for swimming.

We came home and I went straight out onto the sun terrace for a snooze Ann went straight outside to do her 100 skips. Ann's latest project is doing 100 skips a day for a month, and yes, it is a lot harder than it sounds. Yesterday she managed to do 40 continuous skips. Today she only managed 33 and to reach 100 she needs to have at least one rest?!!! Why is she doing it? Who knows. It's just another of her mad projects.

Anyway, after that she was tired, so she caught up on an hour of EastEnders and after that she couldn't be bothered to trek all the way back down to the beach for a swim. As I say, she's in lazy mode. Having said that, she's working a shift at the 'Pool Club' tonight so she's going to be on her feet until midnight. Oh well, ho hum, she will go swimming after Zumba tomorrow, always assuming the sea is not too choppy.

As for me; I've had a fabulous time on all the beaches today. The summer doggie beach ban has now ended so I can go on all the Cornish beaches at any time of the day or night. Yay!
