Wet
It looked bad at the lower end of the field I was ploughing, but I got it done without problems. There were a few slightly worrying moments, but even though there was water filling the furrows, the tractor didn't sink too deep.
One good thing (the only one probably) about the wetness is that the soil is so soft that there's no longitudinal vibration shaking the tractor and the driver. Sitting several hours a day trying to look both forwards and back is bad enough, but the vibration makes it so much worse. Even with the old tractor's poor seat, I'm not having the kind of neck and back pain I often have at this time even when I'm working with the other tractors, which have much better seats.
Three millimetres rain at night didn't seem to do any difference, but we'll see how much we get tomorrow. Current forecasts have 10-20 millimetres, but previous forecasts have varied from one to over 50 millimetres.
