Pumpkin in the hedge

Last pumpkin picture but this flower showed up well outside the field, although given the spillage on the lanes I’m surprised there aren’t more.  It made me think of Browning’s ‘gaudy melon flower’.  Still I often see bees in them so they aren’t all bad. 

Day working at home in the barn office.  

Went over to see Mum in the early evening arriving with various boxes from John Lewis that disappointingly for her turned out to be a mop and a loo brush that I had ordered her on request.  Jono was there so we sat and drank a late cup of tea and chatted. 

Home to leftover chicken and orzo and watched an ep of ‘Pack of Lies’ starring Al Petrie who is a friend of ours.  Can’t quite get a grip on the tone of it
