The Urr Bookended

As this was the last full day of our break and the weather was very favourable we did a fair wee walk, parked the car at Colvend walk up to Auchensheen then down to Kippford and along to Rockcliffe before heading back to Auchensheen and returning to Colvend a round trip of 18km.
On the way round I repeated the image I took on the 25th looking back over the Urr estuary although this time the tide was in, the temperature was kind and the wind acceptable to folk of a sailing bent. I reckon this was the last racing event of the season. You could the hooters going off for a fair bit of our walk indicating someone had crossed the finish line.

The extra is if a flooded section of the forest, looks very like a mango swamp but with different trees.
