A collage today so you can see a few of the scarecrows at the Mahone Bay Scarecrow Festival. I usually go to this every year. Of course it was shut down the first year of covid, then it was hard for the community to get the usual volunteers to work. The past couple of years it has been much smaller than usual. They must have found some new and energetic volunteers to take over running the festival this year. There were more scarecrows and new ones too. I parked at one end of town and walked, it's the best way to see them. I think there were some on a couple of side streets that I did not get to see, as well as when I was leaving town there were more on another street.
From there I was going to Petite Riviere to pick up some daylilies from a friend. I stopped at a couple of markets along the way to get some meals for the coming week, fresh corn, some tomatoes and a potato salad. A quick stop in Bridgewater for lunch, then I headed towards home with a stop at a garden center so I could get some plants for jobs this week. I still have to make a trip to Windsor this week to pick up some trees for a new client, she lost some trees in the forest fire in the spring and is ready to get some new ones planted now.
Brunch tomorrow and I am still trying to decide what to do in the afternoon. There are 5 cruise ships in port tomorrow, one of them is the Queen Mary II. I would really like to see it, but I know there is going to be lots of traffic in the area. I will have to check to see what time it arrives and what time it leaves.
Thanks for all the comments, stars and favorites on my shot of the moon yesterday. I rarely get a good photo of the moon, so I was happy with that one.
