Clermont Ferrand - Skyline with Cathedral

Our first (of 2) overnight stops on our return journey.
Last night's meal was in funny little back street place with bright lighting and some slightly odd, mismatched decor. The food, however was fabulous. The memory of the Trout Gravadlax with Salmon Caviar and beetroot will stay with me for a long time - for all the right reasons!
Back at the hotel, not only did my room have a balcony with a view across the city skyline, but the top floor breakfast restaurant had an even better one. 
The lobby area had on display some surrealist sculptures by Philip Kaeppelin. Weird and wonderful, I found them quite inspiring
